Boys between the sand is guiding star[1] an american gay pornographic film released at the beginning of the golden age of porn. Bayside: dark-haired, bearded peter fisk walks the island's wooded paths until he reaches the beach. He undresses and sits on the blanket, gazing at the beach. Suddenly, naked blond donovan appears in the liquid and runs out to fisk on the adriatic. Fisk performs oral sex on donovan, who then takes fisk to the grove. Poole was inspired to produce the film after he went with his friends to see a movie called highway hustler. After watching the film, he remarked to a friend, “this is the worst and ugliest movie i have ever seen! Someone had to do something better than this.” Poole was convinced that he was that one; "i wanted to [make] a movie - one that gay people can find and say, 'i'm ready to be gay - it's nice to see people doing what they do.'" Boys in the sand made its theatrical debut on december 29, 1971 at the 55th street theater in new york.[3][18] poole ran an unprecedented pre-release campaign, including party screenings and full-page ads in the new york times and variety.

The line for the first screening reached 7th avenue. The film recouped a significant portion of its production and promotional purse in its opening day, grossing around 6,000 greens in the 1st time and almost 25,000 greens in the first 7 days, as a result of which it was specifically listed among the variety of top 50 grossing films of the week.
